The daughter of our beautiful grey Pewter and 1/2 Accoyo white Igon, Kimaree has inherited her dam's sweet disposition and her sire's incredibly dense fleece from head to toes.
With her Yupanqui and CL9 Altair bloodlines and nice conformation, she will be a valuable foundation female. Her beautiful dark markings around her eyes, nose, and lips contribute to her good looks.
She is extremely friendly and the one every visitor to the ranch falls in love with. Check out her own web page under "News" Click on "I love Alpacas" .
Kimaree's first cria, a white male sired by multiple blue ribbon winner and 1st place Get of Sire, El R Peruvian Luciano (Rose Grey). Six of Luciano's progeny are color champion and reserve champions. A Luciano daughter sold at the 2006 Futurity for $100,000!
As we alpaca breeders know, most of our charges are friendly, curious creatures. Most of them will come up to visitors, sniff their hands (in hopes of extra pellets?) and move away, resuming what it was they were doing. And then there's Kimaree. Now 16 years old, she really likes visitors and doesn't care if there are additional treats. Instead, she encourages neck scratches, top knot smoothing, general clean up of her fleece, and much petting. She doesn't discriminate either. Small children from a day care center get the same attention as a dozen ladies in red hats and purple outfits. She was made an honorary member of the Mad Hatters Red Hat Group of Shady Cove.
She recently enjoyed a group of plein air painters from the Rogue Gallery and Art Center, and paid close attention at the Eagle Point Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting in May, hosted by us.
